SUGGESTED ITINERARY

Day 1:
Arrival transfer at Reykjavik

Reykjavik, on the coast of Iceland, is the country’s capital and largest city. It’s home to the National and Saga museums, tracing Iceland’s Viking history. The striking concrete Hallgrimskirkja church and rotating Perlan glass dome offer sweeping views of the sea and nearby hills. Exemplifying the island’s volcanic activity is the geothermal Blue Lagoon spa, near the village of Grindavik.

On Arrival, transfer to hotel/homestay/etc.  spend day at leisure.

Day 2:
Start your adventure by traversing the Reykjanes Peninsula’s volcanic lava fields.
Spend your f night in Reykjavík, the vibrant capital.

Day 3:
Golden Circle and South Shore Begin with the Golden Circle, visiting Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal area, and the powerful Gullfoss waterfall. Continue south to Seljalandsfoss, where you can walk behind the waterfall, and Skógafoss, known for its sheer drop and rainbows. Head to Vík í Mýrdal to explore its black sand beaches and basalt columns. Visit Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon and Systrafoss waterfall.

Day 4:
Vatnajökull National Park & Eastfjords Explore Skaftafell in Vatnajökull National Park, hiking to Svartifoss waterfall framed by basalt columns. Visit Jökulsárlón, a glacier lagoon with floating icebergs, and nearby Diamond Beach. Pass through the Eastern Fjords and fishing village.

Day 5:
Lake Mývatn Drive through northeast Iceland to Dettifoss, Europe’s most powerful waterfall. Explore the volcanic wonders of Lake Mývatn, including the Námaskarð geothermal area, Hverfjall crater, and Dimmuborgir lava formations. Possibly relax at Mývatn Nature Baths and visit Goðafoss .

Day 6:
Snæfellsnes Snæfellsnes Visitor Center, 342, Iceland

Day 7: Drive to Skagafjörður, known for its history and horse breeding. Continue to Borgarfjörður, visiting Deildartunguhver hot spring, Reykholt, and the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. Return to Reykjavík to explore the city’s nightlife, culinary scene, and cultural attractions like Harpa Concert Hall and the National Museum of Iceland.
