Arrival & Departure Port: New Delhi

Day 1:
Delhi Arrival

Arrive at Delhi Airport. On Arrival, you will be taken for city tour of Delhi. Local sightseeing of Delhi, covering Qutab Minar Complex, Lotus Temple (closed on Monday), Teen Murti Bhawan (closed on Monday), Indira Gandhi Museum (closed on Monday). After Lunch visit Birla Mandir, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan & Parliament House (view only), Red Fort & Raj Ghat (both closed on Monday). Later, check in at hotel. Evening at leisure & overnight stay in hotel in Delhi.

Delhi, officially the National Capital Territory of Delhi, is the Capital territory of Indi. It has a population about 11 million and a massive metropolitan population of about 16.3 million, making it the second most populous city and second most populous urban agglomeration in India. New Delhi is a district, which serves as the Capital of India and seat of the executive, legislative and judiciary branch of the Govt. of India. It is also the centre of the Govt. of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. New Delhi is situated within the metropolis of Delhi. The foundation stone of the New Delhi City was laid by George V Emperor of India during Delhi Durbar of 1911. The City was designed by British Architects, Sir Edwin Lutyen’s and Sir Herbert Baker. The New Capital was inaugurated on 13th February 1931 by India’s Viceroy Lord Irwin.

Day 2:
Transfer to Mathura (Vrindavan)
Delhi Agra Distance – 180km / 03-4Hrs

After Breakfast, leave by road for Mathura & Vrindavan

MATHURA / VRINDAVAN
Mathura is the birthplace of Lord Krishna at the centre of Braj or Brij-Bhoomi, called Shri Krishna Janma-Bhoomi. It is one of the seven cities (sapta puri) considered holy by Hindus. The Keshav Dev Temple was built in ancient times on the site of Krishna’s birthplace (an underground prison). Mathura was the capital of the Surasena Kingdom, ruled by Kansa, the maternal uncle of Krishna. Later, if time permits, visit Temples in Vrindavan (11Kms).

Mathura is located 50Kms north of Agra and 180kms south east of Delhi. After Darshan in the birth place of Lord Krishna, check in at hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3:
Agra Transfer & sightseeing
Note: Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays

Breakfast is taken at Hotel. Later, transfer to Agra. On arrival, check in at hotel. Later, city tour of Agra.

Agra, the erstwhile capital of India under the great Mughals and home to Taj Mahal, has always fascinated the Indians as well as foreigners alike. Most of Agra is on the west bank of Agra with the Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal at its nucleus.

Visit the world famous Taj Mahal, the eternal and extravagant monument expressing the enduring love of Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj took 22,000 laborer’s from Central Asia and India were employed. Also visit Akbar’s magnificent Agra Fort, which dominates the center of the city and Itmad-ud-Daulah tomp built by Nur Jahan in memory of her parents.

Day 4
Return Transfer to Delhi
distance 240kms – 4-5hrs drive

Breakfast is taken at hotel. Later, return to Delhi.

On arrival in Delhi, if time permits, visit Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple (optional service).
Swaminarayan Akshardham (New Delhi) is a Hindu temple, and spiritual-cultural campus. Akshardham Temple Complex displays millennia of traditional and modern Hindu culture, spirituality, and architecture. Later; check in at hotel for overnight stay in Delhi

Day 5
Departure Transfer

Breakfast is taken at hotel. Later, proceed to Railway Station / Airport for onward journey.
