Day 01
Amritsar Arrival

On Arrival in Amritsar Airport / Railway Station, you are met by our rep and transferred to Hotel. Later, visit Golden Temple & Jalianwala Bagh. Overnight stay in Hotel in Amritsar.

Amritsar, literally Pool of Nectar, derives its name from the Amrit Sarovar that surrounds the famous Golden Temple in the city. True to its name, the heart of the city is the temple complex, which is the holiest of Sikh shrines. The Golden Temple complex itself is surrounded by a maze of narrow. It is home to the Harmandir Sahib (known as Golden Temple), the spiritual and cultural centre of the Sikh Region. The City also houses the Akal Takht, the highest seat of earthly authority of the Khalsa, and the committee responsible for the upkeep of Gurudwaras. As per 2011 Indian Census, the population of Amritsar city is 1,132,761 aprox. Chandigarh is 217 kms from Amritsar and Wagh Border – 29kms away. The Official language is Punjabi. The Golden Temple
The Darbar Sahib accepts the homage of all and this is represented by the four entrances to the temple. The Akhand Path, an unbroken reading of the Guru Granth Sahib, is held on the first floor of Darbar Sahib. On the top floor is the Sheesh Mahal, an impressive hall covered by mirrors.

The temple itself is topped by a golden dome contributed by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, who had the shrine rebuilt. It came to be called the Golden Temple after this. Devotees wash their hands and feet, and cover their heads while entering the temple complex via Darshini Darwaza. They then do the ‘parikrama’ or the round of the smaller homage sites surrounding of the temple. The parikrama, is a wide marbled passageway that encircles the Sarovar.

Jallianwalabagh: This is the spot of the black incident where 379 people were ruthlessly killed and about 1,200 injured by General Dywer’s troops. The Martyrs’ Gallery is a poignant reminder of this heinous crime during the British Raj.

Day 02
Amritsar & Wagah Border

Breakfast is taken at Hotel. Visit Gobindgarh Fort and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum Amritsar, then Wagah Border in the afternoon.

Gobindgarh Fort: the very symbol of Punjab. A symbol of the times when Punjab was forged. Spread across a grand 43 acres, right in the heart of Amritsar city, this magnificent, heritage site has a glorious history of its own, spanning across 257 years – right from the era of the Bhangi Misl to the time of Maharaja Ranjit Singh- to The British East India Company to The Indian Army to now, when finally, it opens its gates to the people of Punjab.

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum Amritsar, which was originally the summer palace of first king of Sikh Empire, Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Later, it was converted in to museum in 1977 CE. It is a treasure house of the history, art and architecture of the Sikhs of the 18th and the 19th century AD.

Wagah Border (29 km)
West of Amritsar, the borderlands of India and Pakistan are marked by cultivated fields. Only the barbed wire fence breaks this pastoral scene reminding us of the political significance of this place. At Wagah, we can recharge our patriotic feelings with rousing hurrahs for India during the elaborate ceremonial change of guard held on both sides of the border, at sunset every day. Evening Return to Hotel for overnight stay in Hotel in Amritsar.

Day 03
Amritsar Dalhousie Transfer
Breakfast is taken at Hotel. Later, proceed to Dalhousie

Dalhousie is a high-altitude town spread across 5 hills near the Dhauladhar mountain range. It’s home to colonial-era buildings (Victorian architecture), including St. Francis and St. John’s churches, which date back to the rule of the British Raj in the 1800s. The breath taking lush green landscapes, tranquillity, adventure activities and the snow-capped Mountain Ranges are a peaceful area with pine trees and panoramic views. On Arrival, check in at hotel. Rest of the day at Leisure. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 04
Day trip to Khajjiar, the Mini Switzerland
Distance 30kms (1hrs)

Breakfast is taken at hotel. Later, proceed to Khajjiar, the Mini Switzerland.
The large grassy regions that meet deep woods of deodar and cedar forests, with cottages dotted throughout, give them the look of the Swiss countryside, and this place is known as Mini Switzerland of India. The high-altitude Khajjiar Lake is surrounded by cedar forest.

Dating from the 12th century, Khajji Nag Temple is dedicated to a serpent god. Nearby, west, Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary is home to animals including deer and bears. Afternoon, return to Dalhousie. Stay overnight in hotel in Dalhousie.

Day 05
Dalhousie Dharamshala Transfer
Distance – 115KMS / 3 – 4hrs drive

Breakfast is taken at hotel. Later, proceed to Dharamshala.
Dharamshala is surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of the Himalayas, with breath taking view of the Himalayan peaks, lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and clear streams that meander through its valley. This hillside city is home to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile. The Thekchen Chöling Temple Complex is a spiritual center for Tibetan Buddhism, while the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives houses thousands of precious manuscripts. On Arrival, check in at hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 06
Dharamshala to Manali Transfer
Distance 210 kms ( 6-7hrs)

Breakfast is taken at hotel. Later, return to Manali

Manali is a high-altitude Himalayan resort town in northern Himachal. Set on the Beas River, it’s a gateway for skiing in the Solang Valley and trekking in Parvati Valley. It’s also a jumping-off point for paragliding, rafting and mountaineering in the Pir Panjal mountains, home to 4,000m-high Rohtang Pass. A favorite destination for honeymooners & leisure.

On Arrival, check in at hotel. rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 07
Manali Local Sightseeing
Breakfast is taken at hotel, later half day sightseeing of Manali by non AC Local Vehicle.

Manali local sightseeing includes Hadimba Devi Temple, Vashisht Hot springs and Tibetans Monastery. Later, you are free to explore the Mall Road & IBEX Market of Manali. Overnight stay in Hotel in Manali.

Day 08
Manali to Shimla Transfer
Distance – 265kms / 10hrs drive

Shimla was the former summer capital of British India, set amidst the snow caped “Shivalik Mountains”. The mountain offers some of the most stunning views of the mighty Himalayas. On arrival, check-in and stay overnight in Shimla

Day 09
Shimla Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit Kufri (altitude of 2,622 meter). “Kufri” is a tourist hotspot for its awesome scenic and sports activities.

Evening free to explore Shimla town, on your own, “The Mall & Ridge”.
The Mall Road is a large open space in the heart of town presents excellent views of the mountain ranges. Shimla’s landmarks – the neo- gothic structure of Christ Church and the neo – Tudor library building – are worth seeing. Our taxis are not allowed to enter Mall Road. Overnight stay in Hotel in Shimla

Day 10
Shimla Chandigarh Transfer
Distance 130kms / 3-4hrs drive approx

Breakfast is taken at hotel. later, proceed to Chandigarh.

On Arrival, proceed for Chandigarh Sightseeing
Chandigarh, was designed by the Swiss-French modernist architect, Le Corbusier. His buildings include the Capitol Complex with its High Court, Secretariat and Legislative Assembly, as well as the giant Open Hand Monument. The nearby Rock Garden is a park featuring sculptures made of stones, recycled ceramics and industrial relics.

Later in the evening, check in at hotel for overnigth stay.

Day 11
Departure Transfer
