Itinerary

DAY 1
Itanagar is the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh, nestled in the Himalayan foothills. Known as the “land of the dawn-lit mountains,” it serves as the administrative and cultural hub of the state, featuring the historic 14th-century Ita Fort, the Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum, and lush natural attractions like Ganga Lake.

On arrival, transfer to hotel. Check in at hotel. Free with chosen activities. Overnight Stay in Itanagar

DAY 2
Itanagar to Rupa 250 Km (5 to 6hrs).
Breakfast is taken at hotel. Later, proceed to Rupa after a short orientation tour of Itanagar city.

Rupa is a small hill station, which lies on the banks of the meandering Tenga River.  It is situated at an altitude of 2,600 meters above sea level and is surrounded by beautiful mountains and lush green forests. A morning or evening drive around the Rupa border is breathtaking with its scenic beauty and natural attractions such as the Rupa Valley, the Dirang Valley, and the Sessa Orchid Sanctuary. It is also home to several Buddhist monasteries and temples, including the Thupsung Dhargye Ling Monastery and the GRL Monastery.

Rupa circle is inhabited by a tribal group called Shertukpen. It was called Tukpen before it was called Rupa.  On Arrival, check in at hotel for overnight stay

DAY 3
Rupa to Tawang via Dirang
200kms (4 to 5hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast, visit Sangti Valley and then move towards Tawang enroute visit to Sela Lake, Jaswantgrah and Jang Waterfall.   On arrival, stay in a Hotel / House Boat in Tawang.

Tawang is a high-altitude town (approx. 3,000m/10,000ft) in Arunachal Pradesh, renowned as a premier tourist destination for its stunning Himalayan landscapes, rich Tibetan Buddhist culture, and the massive 17th-century Tawang Monastery. It is a major center for the Gelugpa sect, bordering Tibet and Bhutan, featuring snow-capped peaks, alpine lakes, and the Tawang War Memorial

Tawang Monastery: The largest monastery in India and second largest in the world, founded by Merak Lama Lodre Gyatso in the 17th century.

DAY 4
Bum La Pass ( Indo China Border)

Morning after breakfast, travel to Bum-La pass (Indo-china border) 37 kms and sightseeing at Sungester lake

The Sangetsar Tso, formerly called Shonga-tser Lake and popularly known as the Madhuri Lake, is located on the way from Tawang to Bum La Pass in, near Indo-China border above 3,708 metres above sea level.
Afternoon, return to Tawang city for  overnight stay

DAY 5
Tawang Local Tour

Breakfast is taken at hotel, later proceed for the sightseeing of Tawang Monastery; which is among Asia 2nd Largest Monastery, local villages and Chakzam Bridge which is 700 yrs old.Evening visit to Tawang War memorial.    Evening at Leisure with choosen activities

DAY6
Tawang to Bomdila
Distance 168 Km ( 4 to 5hrs)
Bomdila, a virgin forest until modern times was built as Sela Sub Agency Capital by Major Ralengnao R Khathing. It is the headquarters of West Kameng district, which  is one of the 60 constituencies of the state of Arunachal Pradesh

Bomdila is famous for its breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, sprawling apple orchards, and serene Tibetan Buddhist monasteries. Situated at 2,217 meters, it is renowned for its panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, the Craft Center and Ethnographic Museum for local handicrafts, and as a key stopover  between itanaagar and Tawang.  Overnight stay in Bomdila

DAY 7
Bomdila to Itanagar Airport
# Distance 275kms  (5 to 6 hrs approx)
Breakfast is taken a hotel. Later, proceed to Itanagar Airport to connect your onward flight back home
