GEORGIA
Tbilisi,  Mtskheta – Gori – Uplistsikhe ,  Ananuri – Gudauri – Kazbegi, Sighnaghi – Kvarelu
6 Days / 5 Nights

Day 1:
Arrival, Tbilisi
Arrival in Tbilisi international airport. Meeting with company representative at the airport waiting hall. Transfer to Tbilisi hotel. Check in after 14:00; have some rest and overnight.

Day 2:
Tbilisi city tour
Breakfast at the hotel.  Excursion in the capital city of Georgia. Founded by Vakhtang Gorgasali, the Georgian King of Kartli (Iberia) and made into a capital in the 6th century, Tbilisi is a significant industrial, social, and cultural center. Visiting following sights: Tbilisi Sameba Cathedral, the largest cathedral in the Caucasus, Metekhi Church is erected on the cliff, overlooking the Mtkvari River. The colorful Darejani Palace is also situated on the cliff, like the nest of a swallow. The Sulfur Baths are located in Old Tbilisi, on the other side of the river, opposite Darejani Palace. Narikala fortress, established in the fourth century. Then continue tour by visiting Shardeni street with its fashionable, cozy cafes and art galleries. Visit famous Bridge of Peace. Visit Rustaveli Avenue, main street of the city, passing along the attractions, such as Tbilisi Opera and Ballet theatre, Rustaveli Theatre, different art galleries and cafes. Lift by cable way on Funicular, in the hill park, overlooking the whole city. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 3:
Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Gori – Uplistsikhe – Tbilisi
Mtskheta (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the ancient capital of Georgia. It was religious center of Georgia, where St. Nino converted the country to Christianity in the 4th century. Here you can see Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century). Cathedral is an important piece of Christian history, as it is a place where Christ’s robe was buried. Jvari Church – 6th century monastery. It stands on a hill overlooking the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers.
Afterwards drive to Gori. The city was founded by one of the greatest kings of Georgia, David the Builder. Here you can visit Joseph Stalin Museum.

Visit Uplistsikhe ,“the lord’s fortress”, which is an ancient rock-hewn town in eastern Georgia. Built on a rocky bank of Mtkvari River, it contains various structures dating from the 2nd ML BC to the Late Middle ages, and is notable for the unique combination of various styles of rock-cut cultures. Excursion there. Then drive to back to Tbilisi and overnight there.

Day 4:
Tbilisi – Ananuri – Gudauri – Kazbegi – Tbilisi
We drive to Gudauri, mountain region of the country and Georgian ski resort. On the way, we pass Ananuri Castle and Jinvali water reservoir of amazing beauty. Stop for an excursion.
Passing Pasanauri village and along the Aragvi River and picturesque landscapes arrive in Gudauri. Excursion there. Then transfer to Kazbegi. Arrive in Stepantsminda – the main town in the region. From center, we drive through beautiful valleys and woodlands to visit Gergeti Trinity Church located on the hill at 2170m. You may observe one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – Mt Kazbegi.
Then drive back to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 5:
Tbilisi – Sighnaghi – Kvarelu Tbilisi
Breakfast at the hotel and meet guide at the hotel reception.
Then we drive to Kakheti – Eastern part of Georgia and cradle of Georgian wine. First we visit Sighanghi, “city of love”. Excursion in this beautiful city, visit city fortress walls overlooking Alazany valley with stunning views. Afterwards, we drive to Kvareli. Here we’ll visit “Gvirabi”- tunnel. This unique wine cave represent the tunnel that is cut off in eth stone massif of Caucasian mountain range, where yearlong natural temperature is 10-12ºC. The length of this construction is 7,7 Km. Excursion there information about wine factory “Winery Khareba” and the wine technology. Drive back to Tbilisi and overnight.

Day 6:
Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. According to the flight details transfer to the airport. Farewell. Departure
